I have only two bridesmaids and one of them is a plus size. She is a size 20 in regular clothes. That is all fine and dandy, but the dresses she is sending me (emails mostly) that she thinks they should wear, I think are totally not flattering on her body type at all. The other maid it would be fine on, she wears a size 8 regularly. The dresses she is sending me are very short…above the knee. Strapless or spagetti straps and just not flattering at all. Plus, they are just not fitting in with the formality of the wedding. An evening affair. Could you please help me out and maybe send me links to dresses that you would think could work well on a larger frame. First of all, I do not want her looking ridiculous, but I also don’t want her looking ridiculous in my wedding pics. I hate to sound horrible, but that is the way I feel. I myself am not a small girl by any means. My dress is a size 14. I just think that here are more flattering looks out there. If you have seen dresses that you think would work well or have worn ones yourself, please send me a pic. Hi, I have been looking at wedding dresses online all day, and seem to be finding no plus size options that look like they have the same body type as me! Is there anyone else out there who is around 160 cm with broad shouldres and have measurements close to 42 inch bust, 35 inch waist and 41 inch hips? I am going to be looking with my future mother in law, but our tastes run in totally different directions. My mom and my fiance mom wants to know what color they should get for their dress. I have no idea so i’m turning to yahoo answers! My wedding is June 15, 2008. its an outside ceremony. Our colors are dark red (cranberry) and dark blue (navy blue). Any links to dresses also that you would suggest? My mom wants sleeveless and my future mother in law doesnt really like dresses but is willing to wear one. My mom is plus size-size 18 and his mom is TALL, 5′11 and probaly a size 10. Okay so I have a friends wedding to go to in march. Im on the plus size so I kinda have to look in advance, I’ve read that red, black and white aren’t really suited for weddings but I’m not entirely sure. I found one that I’m actually in love with (which is strange for me) but it’s black and red so I don’t know – The wedding invite says formal so I don’t want some huge dress that goes to my ankles and I think this one would probably be perfect.
